rss.gif RSS is known as Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary and is a means of distributing information via a content feed to whomever wants to receive it.  RSS allows you to receive the latest content from websites in which you are interested and you save your time by not having to constantly check your favourite websites for updates - the updates come to you.

There are a number of RSS Readers are available for different platforms. Some popular feed readers include FeedReader (Windows), Amphetadesk (Windows, Linux, Mac), and NewsGator (Windows - integrates with Outlook). There are also a number of web-based feed readers available. My Yahoo, Bloglines, and Google Reader are popular web-based feed readers.

Once you have your Feed Reader, just look for sites that syndicate content and adding their RSS feed to the list of feeds your Feed Reader checks.  Many sites display a small icon (like the big one at the beginning of this article) with the acronyms RSS, XML, or RDF to let you know a feed is available.   You will often see this icon displayed at the righthand side of the URL field in your web browser - this indicates a feed is available from that website.

We have put in place this support system to be able to better serve our customers.  You are welcome to use our helpdesk for pre-sales and post-sales questions.

Knowledge base:
We are compiling a knowledge base of useful information, tips, tricks and instructions to answer the questions that are most frequently asked.  Be sure to browse through the knowledge base, before emailing us,as your question may already have been answered and you will find your answer immediately!

When you contact us by email you will receive an automated response and unique ticket ID.  All email is logged to ensure that we are able to respond.  We aim to respond to all email as quickly as we can but support is only normally available Monday to Friday 0900 to 1630, UK local time, excluding public holidays.
